Guide To Study

An annotated and prioritized reading list

This is not your ordinary alphabetized bibliography; it’s a guide to study! Consequently the books are grouped in subject categories with the most important, complete or best introductory source listed first, followed by those with an increasingly more specialized scope, or historical or regional focus. To study a subject of interest, or to build a library, I recommend you start with the first title(s) in each section and work your way down through the list.

Think of this as a pathway to knowledge, made up of stepping stones. If you hop over the initial stones and land on the fourth one, you may not be able to take full advantage of its deeper or more specialized information, because you missed the overview of paradigm, principles and practices that you would have received in the prioritized books, as a foundation to make that leap.

Many of these books may be a challenge to find, although with the internet, it has become much easier to connect with rare book dealers. There are some obscure publications here, but I list them because I regard them as such valuable sources to help you develop geomantic knowledge and skills.
